With under two weeks left for shoppers to get gifts under the tree, more retailers are sharing their shipping deadlines for Christmas delivery.
Last week, StellaService identified that as of December 4th, 45% of Stella Index companies had shared these deadlines on their sites. Not surprisingly, as of Dec 10th, that number has risen, up to 70%.
Zappos, a consistent leader in service, has yet to post a Christmas cutoff date, instead offering free two-business day delivery on all orders. Last year, the shoe and apparel retailer was one of four companies to post the most aggressive shipping deadline of December 23rd, automatically upgrading orders placed that day to overnight shipping.
Retailers who push the limit with deadlines don’t just maximize their holiday revenue, but make for happy customers looking for that last-minute gift. In addition to Zappos, three other measured companies posted December 23rd deadlines: Nordstrom, Apple and Dell.
Shoppers can expect more retailers to share their cutoff dates in the upcoming days. Last year, 90% of companies measured by StellaService posted a shipping deadline.
